Oh, and things 6 hasn't sold out - we found a box of issues that had hitherto avoided detection. However, things 4 has now gone the way of the first issue - that it is say, it is no more. The long, slow process of re-coding all the pages into css continues. Slowly.

Thinking of space, for no particular reason. Living in space, or just listening to what space must sound like. Earthbound attempts to bring space to the masses don't quite make the grade.

While we struggle to find suitable links for newthings - and it's not as if there's any shortage - here is a timely reminder of the internet's archival power. The Internet Archive Wayback Machine not only archives news and major media sites (including this archive relating to the WTC attacks), but also contains a host of entertainingly fossilised weblogs (as recently discussed on metafilter).

It's safe to presume that no-one has stumbled on newthings just yet, and that its struggle into existence is a lonely one. However, if anyone knows how to organise css formatting on blogger, please drop us a line...
