The online obsession with analogue relics continues with Project C-90 (via MeFi). We recall this avant-garde object all too well / explore the world of Playfic, an ‘online community that lets you write, remix, share, and play interactive, text-based games with the world’. Back in the day, there was the Quill Adventure System, which evolved into the Professional Adventure Writer, both systems allowing anyone to create their own basic text adventures. You used to be able to play Infocom’s adventure game series online, but that has been shut down, presumably because this still exists. There’s an Android interactive fiction reader in the works as well.
