Lego goes for the burn with the new Architecture Studio set (number 21050), containing ’1210 bricks and a 272-page guidebook endorsed by leading architects’. All the bricks are white, so presumably New York Five-style modernism is the order of the day. As Business Review Weekly notes, some architects are starting to get a little wary of Lego’s very targeted approaches. Upcoming products include the Lego Creator Expert 10234 Sydney Opera House, 2,989 bricks that go some way to illustrating the sheer impossibility of translating Utzon’s design into built reality / more games.
