Deep down trauma hound

Terra Vivos is an ‘Underground Shelter Network for Long-Term Survival of Future Catastrophes’. Reeks of zombie paranoia at the very least, but the listed scenarios include Planet X and general anarchy, all of which one can ‘ride out’ inside one of the shelters in Indiana, Nebraska or the Rockies. ‘People around the world are sensing that a global life-changing event is just ahead. Vivos is the life assurance solution for you and your family to survive the next devastating catastrophe from nature or mankind. Ask yourself, which side of the door do you want to be on?’. The company is also building a Cryovault, a sort of Millennium Seed Bank for sperm and eggs:

‘Unlike a mere above-ground ‘sperm bank’, the Vivos Cryovault is not a donor program for selective, or “designer” reproduction, but rather a nuclear blast-proof, fully staffed and secure underground shelter with liquid nitrogen freezers to maintain thousands of mature, reproductive unfertilized cells, such as a sperm or ovum (eggs). You now have an opportunity to protect and continue your family lineage for the potential repopulation of the Earth, following a future massive devastation of humanity, or destruction of the reproductive gene pool caused by radiological, biological or chemical attack’.

Happily, the Future Map of the United States shows that California and New York have been obliterated (via Business Insider) / related. Robert Harrill, the ‘Fort Fisher Hermit’, ‘became the second greatest tourist attraction in the state of North Carolina, trailing only the USS North Carolina in number of visitors’. Fisher was the subject of a documentary, viewable in its entirety on YouTube / also gives us a chance to plug English Heritage’s excellent Cold War: Building for Nuclear Confrontation 1946-89. ‘Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark!’
