At Class Action Park

Porträts Doubles by Niklauss Poerri, a study of (mostly) Swiss look-a-likes. Every country has its celebrity look-a-likes, we suppose, and Switzerland is no different. And the term ‘look-a-like’ is stretching it a bit in most cases (above, Daniel Radcliffe and George Clooney) / Cross Section Views of Leica Lenses / what to do with a magazine collection? / The Peckham Experiment. See also these (terrible) scans of study of the living structure of society.

Action Park was a notorious New Jersey funfair, ‘nicknamed “Traction Park”,[3] “Accident Park”,[4] “Class Action Park”, “Danger Park” and “Death Park” by doctors at nearby hospitals due to the number of severely injured parkgoers they treated’, a quote from the park’s Wikipedia entry. Weird NJ has a page of reminisences, and also alerted us to, ‘the world’s most comprehensive source of amusement ride accident reports and related news’ (thanks, Michael).

Always nice to see a mention in your posts – thank you. You may have spotted I’ve kind of stolen your format for my GrayMatter posts. Hope you don’t mind!

Not in the slightest – not quite sure where we found/stole that format from originally, but I’m sure we can’t lay claim to it in any way…
